Videogen Studio privacy policy

Updated October 27, 2026 · Applies to Videogen Studio 1.0 for macOS

Videogen Studio is published by Vivek Yadav. This policy explains the local editor, optional external services, and support communications.

Your local projects

The core editor stores and processes projects, scripts, scenes, imported audio and source files, previews, and exported videos on your Mac. The build 3 Store candidate includes local export tools and Kokoro English/Hindi voice packs. Narration and rendering operate locally. It uses a local pronunciation frontend and does not send scripts to a speech service. Imported PCM WAV remains an alternative. Saving into a cloud-synced folder may cause your chosen storage provider to synchronize those files under its own settings and policy.

Optional AI and external services

Cloud AI is optional. When you explicitly review and consent to a request, the app sends the displayed request to the named provider. The experimental OpenRouter draft route can send an instruction and selected scene/layer context for one supported field on one selected unlocked layer in one scene. Optional external advisory review can send the reviewed content shown in its consent flow. These services are separate from local editing and rendering.

Requests go directly to the selected provider with the credential you supply. Providers receive request content and connection information such as your IP address, and may associate it with your provider account. Their retention, processing locations, and model-training practices depend on their own terms, model choice, and account settings. Read OpenRouter’s privacy policy and, if you use the TypeSafe advisory service, TypeSafe’s privacy policy. Do not include confidential or sensitive information unless you are authorized to send it. You can use the core local workflow without sending a cloud AI request.

Credentials and settings

Provider credentials and connection settings are kept on your Mac for the connections you configure. Credentials are sent to the provider to authenticate requests. Remove a configured credential in the app’s connection settings when you no longer wish to use it.

Downloads, Apple and support

Downloading tools, models or voice packs contacts their download hosts. Apple handles App Store distribution and TestFlight diagnostics and feedback under Apple’s privacy policy. If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use those communications to respond and investigate your issue; avoid sending private project content when it is unnecessary.

Retention and your choices

You control local files and can delete projects, recordings, previews, exports and configured credentials using the app or macOS. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete files you saved elsewhere or copies held by a backup or sync provider. For support correspondence or privacy requests, email viveky259259@gmail.com. Provider-held data must also be managed with that provider. We will respond to requests to access, correct or delete information we hold, subject to applicable requirements.

This support website

This static support site has no forms or advertising scripts. Its hosting provider processes ordinary connection information to deliver and secure the pages. See OpenAI’s privacy policy for the hosting service. Visiting this site does not upload your Videogen Studio projects.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when these practices change. Contact Vivek Yadav at viveky259259@gmail.com for questions or privacy requests.
